Records Assistant – Fixed Term

Full time (35 hours / 5 days per week), 9 months fixed term contract, anticipated start date mid-February 2022, London Living Wage rate £11.05 per hour.

Acme is looking for a Records Assistant on a fixed term contract basis to support the work of Acme’s Records and Archive Manager. The role will be working primarily on two data collection and data entry projects:

1. Collating current and historical artist tenancy data: The post holder will be expected to compile excel spreadsheet information from current uncatalogued original paper tenancy records housed in Acme’s records room.

2. Transferring existing digital records on to a new digital database system.

Due to the nature of this role the post holder will be expected to work onsite at both the Acme Office: 44 Copperfield Road, Bow E3 4RR (2 days per week) and the Acme Records Room: 44 Bonner Road, Bethnal Green, E2 9JS (3 days per week).

Person Specification

The post holder will need exceptional attention to detail. At least 3 months experience of data entry gained within any sector. Ability to work unsupervised to written instructions. Experience of using the following systems would be advantageous: Excel, Office 365, any client or contact management software.

Knowledge of information management standards regarding personal data collection would be desirable but not essential

The post-holder will be line managed by the Records & Archive Manager.
